Forgie for Fair Paths from First Grade to First Job
Forgie is for fair paths from first grade to first job. This requires fully-funded public schools & future-ready education inclusive of vocational careers.
Strong Public Schools Rooted in Real Experience
With 24 years as a Woodland Hills social studies teacher, Adam has seen firsthand how federal decisions shape classrooms, families, and communities. In Congress, he will work to:
- Restore and strengthen the U.S. Department of Education so it supports schools and protects students’ rights rather than undermining them.
- Protect and expand Title I, Head Start, Pre-K, and Special Education funding to close achievement gaps and dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline.
- Invest in student well-being by strengthening supports that help schools address the real challenges students face every day.
Multiple Pathways to Real Opportunity
Adam believes college isn’t for everyone — but opportunity should be. He will champion:
- Greater investment in career and technical education, including STEAM, STEM, apprenticeships, and vocational training.
- Support for community colleges and public universities to ensure students can earn credentials without crushing debt.
- Pathways that prepare graduates for good-paying union jobs in the labor and trade fields.
Teaching Truth, History & Civic Responsibility
As a civics teacher and Holocaust education advocate, Adam knows students must understand their world to lead it. He will:
- Support curricula that teach the full truth about genocide, the Holocaust, and the dangers of hate speech, division, and political violence.
- Champion civic education that prepares young people to vote, serve, and lead, not just take tests.
- Promote age-appropriate gun safety and awareness education, paired with the training and resources schools need to deliver it effectively.
A Modern GI Bill for Essential Workers
Essential professions—teachers, nurses, EMS, firefighters, police, transportation & hauling, and others—are facing dangerous shortages. Adam’s plan:
- Free college or credential tuition for students who pursue degrees or training in essential fields: teaching, nursing, EMS, firefighting, and public safety.
- A 10-year service commitment in exchange for federal investment in their education.
- Job placement support, mentorship, and loan-forgiveness incentives to help participants succeed and stay in the professions that keep communities safe.
- Targeted federal funding to strengthen schools, hospitals, and public safety departments most in need.
Bottom Line
Adam Forgie is a lifelong educator who knows that strong public schools, meaningful career pathways, honest civic learning, and a new generation of essential workers are the foundation of America’s future. He will fight to ensure every student in PA-12 has a fair path from first grade to their first job — and the opportunity to build a better life.
