Supporting Police, Fire, and EMS the Right Way

Adam will:

• Increase federal funding for police, fire, and EMS departments, tied to strong training, recruitment, and accountability standards.
• Help communities recruit and retain first responders, including through his Modern GI Bill for Essential Workers.
• Invest in domestic violence response, crisis intervention teams, and community-based violence interruption to address root causes of crime.

Responsible Gun Ownership and Real Gun Safety

Adam respects the Second Amendment and knows responsible gun owners are part of the solution. He will:

• Protect the rights of law-abiding citizens to own firearms for hunting, sport, and self-defense.
• At the same time, enforce stricter penalties for straw purchasing, reckless ownership, and illegal gun trafficking.
• Support universal background checks, safe-storage incentives, and closing loopholes that allow dangerous individuals to bypass the law.
