Turtle Creek Mayor Adam Forgie declares primary challenge to Summer Lee
Turtle Creek Mayor and Woodland Hills educator Adam Forgie recently sat down with David Rullo from the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle to talk about why he’s challenging Summer Lee in the 2026 Democratic primary for Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District.
In the interview, Adam recalls how a 2016 Classrooms Without Borders trip to Poland — including visits to Treblinka and Auschwitz — “changed everything” for him and deepened his lifelong commitment to Holocaust education and fighting antisemitism. He also explains why he calls himself a traditional blue-collar Democrat who makes decisions issue by issue, and why he believes opportunity should belong to everyone in PA-12, not just a few.
Adam talks candidly about his unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish community, his concerns with Rep. Lee’s record, and his pledge to visit every community in the district to listen, learn, and lead with the people he hopes to represent.
